Dr Emmanuel Annorbah is the Chief Technical Officer at GLICO Health, where he provides strategic leadership for the organisation’s technical operations. His mandate includes the strategic management of Underwriting, Claims, and Provider Relations departments. Dr. Annorbah’s focus is on integrating these functions to drive operational integrity and superior medical outcomes for all GLICO Health policyholders.  

He is also the Chairman of the Strategic Implementation Committee (SIT) and, in that capacity, ensures that the overall organizational mandate is realized and there is interdepartmental synergy for customer satisfaction and overall success of the business.  

Over the years, he has played an integral role in building the company’s technical operations, establishing the reliable structures necessary to support robust and scalable business growth and enhance customer satisfaction. From his initial role as Deputy Scheme Manager to his strategic position as the Senior Manager overseeing the Claims, Underwriting, Provider Relations, and Medical Services departments, to his current role as the Chief Technical Officer, his journey reflects a comprehensive mastery of the insurance value chain.  

Prior to joining GLICO Health, Dr. Emmanuel Annorbah was also a practitioner at Medifem Multi-Specialist Hospital & Fertility Centre as a Senior Medical Officer and Health Insurance Claim Consultant. He previously worked at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and Achimota Hospital as a House Officer.  

A graduate of the University of Ghana Medical School, Dr Annorbah holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB). His academic foundation also includes a BSc in Biological Science from the University of Ghana. He is professionally affiliated with the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) as a Certified Associate Member. This designation emphasises his commitment to the highest standards of technical competence and professional ethics within the industry.  

A versatile thought leader and advocate for holistic well-being, Dr Annorbah is a Reverend Minister, Life Coach, and an accomplished Author of the motivational work, “From the Pit to the Palace.” He has also published a second book titled “The Help Factor.” Dr. Annorbah is a consistent contributor to the GLICO Monthly Health Tips, where he simplifies complex health issues for our enrolees through proactive educational publications such as “Blood Donation: A Life Saver” and “Staying Healthy During the Working Years and Beyond”.
