Ernest serves as the Head, Internal Controls and Compliance at GLICO Health and doubles as a Data Protection Supervisor (DPS). 

He brings strong expertise in finance, data analytics, and research, which he leverages to support critical business functions. He is a member of the Company’s Budget Team and ESG Team and plays an active role in tax-related engagements, including tax compliance, planning, advisory services, tax health checks, and tax due diligence for GLICO Health. Ernest played a pivotal role in the achievement of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 certifications and continuously ensures compliance with these standards. 

Before joining GLICO in 2015, Ernest worked with the Ghana Co-operative Credit Unions Association Limited as an Auditor, where he specialized in providing audit and financial management support to credit unions nationwide. 

Ernest is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG). He is also a Chartered Tax Practitioner and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (CITG), as well as a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA – Ghana and Global). In addition, he is a Certified Data Protection Supervisor and is deeply committed to strengthening data protection and privacy practices within the Group. 

He holds an MSc in Business Analytics from the University of Ghana Business School and a Post-Chartered Diploma in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. Ernest also holds a BSc in Accounting from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, and a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Presbyterian University College.
