
George Gedzie is the Chief Information Systems Officer (CISO) at GLICO Health, where he is in charge of the strategic implementation of the company’s digital initiatives. A passionate advocate for data, AI, and emerging technologies, George has been instrumental in the organisation’s digital transformation, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and elevating the customer experience through technology-enabled solutions.
Before he was appointed CISO, George served as the Head of Provider Relations. In this capacity, he was responsible for managing a nationwide network of service providers, ensuring that GLICO Health’s clients received swift, seamless, and high-quality medical care. With over eleven years of experience within the GLICO Group, including tenures at GLICO Life Insurance LTD and Ghana Commercial Bank, George possesses a deep-rooted understanding of provider management, process optimisation, and data governance.
George’s academic background is as diverse as his professional expertise. He holds a Master’s degree in International Trade from Hochschule Anhalt, Germany, and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Valley View University, Oyibi–Accra. Committed to continuous growth, he is currently pursuing an MSc in Business Analytics at the University of Ghana and undertaking a professional programme to qualify as an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) under the CPCU designation.
