The GLICO Sunkwa Health Plan is a special package designed to help Ghanaians living abroad purchase a health insurance plan for their dependants and relatives residing in Ghana. The cover provides for in-patient services and also for out-patient services.

Our commitment to students and our experience-based understanding of health insurance plans has allowed us to develop and package innovative and tightly integrated student health insurance solutions.

The Student Health Insurance Plan provides the comprehensive insurance cover every student needs to stay healthy throughout their educational course. It is open to all students (national and international) in secondary and tertiary institutions who possess a valid student ID card. 

The student health plan covers both in-patient and out-patient benefits and is renewable every semester.

When planning a holiday or a tour trip, nobody wants to think about what might go wrong-but sometimes things can go horribly wrong even when you are on holiday. Injuries and accidents can occur when you least expect them.

The Tourist health insurance plan offers both out-patient and in-patient care cover for tourists and visitors on a short stay in Ghana through a network of affiliated service providers. The Tourist Health Insurance Plan is a collaboration between GLICO Healthcare and the Tour Operators Union of Ghana. 

The package is available to persons of all nationalities who travel to Ghana for a short stay.

The Family and Individual package offer a unique experience and utmost satisfaction to our clients who enroll on the policy. The carefully designed enriched package ensures absolute comfort and peace of mind to clients due to the comprehensive nature of benefits (out-patient and in-patient) renewable every year.

The GLICO Corporate Health Plan has six (6) packages;

i. Standard Package:

This package offers cover at a relatively low premium and provides both in-patient and out-patient care. Covered services include General Practitioner and Specialist Consultation, Prescription Drugs, Laboratory Tests, X-rays, Dental Care, Eye Care, Optical, Surgical Medical Treatment, as well as In-hospital Treatment. 

ii. Enhanced Package:

The Enhanced Package, like the Standard Package, provides cover for both out-patient and in-patient care. Apart from the relatively higher annual benefit limits, this package covers ambulance services and herbal medicine in addition to all the benefits listed under the Standard Package.

iii. Enhanced Plus Package:

The Enhanced Plus Package combines first-class service with both out-patient and in-patient benefits. In addition to services covered under the Enhanced Package, it covers specialist dentistry (root canal treatment and periodontal treatment), speech therapy/audiology, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and chiropractic as well as the use of special health facilities like Nyaho Clinic, Trust Hospital, Medlab, among others.

iv. Ultimate  Package:

The Ultimate Package offers annual benefit limits for both outpatient and in-patient treatment. It covers prosthetics in addition to all the services covered under the Enhanced Plus Package. Members may use any of the accredited special health facilities such as Euracare, Akai House Clinic, Lister Hospital among others. 

v. Platinum & Platinum Plus

The Platinum and Platinum Plus Package has Outpatient and Inpatient benefit limits higher than the Ultimate Package. The area of coverage includes Africa, India, and Europe. Members may also access any service provider in Ghana, including Akai House, Lister Hospital, Child and Associates, Platinum Dental, and beyond.

An exclusive Benefit under the GLICO Health plan is The Health Seminar organized annually/bi-annually for staff.
