OBED NSIAH ABORAH (ACIIG)

Obed Nsiah Aborah is the esteemed Head of Claims at GLICO Healthcare, where he oversees
and manages the claims processes across the organization. His primary goal is to ensure the
swift and accurate processing of claims, adhering to established Service Level Agreements
(SLAs) and regulatory standards, with the ultimate aim of ensuring customer satisfaction,
business sustainability and meeting shareholder expectations.

Since joining GLICO Healthcare in September 2015, Obed has steadily advanced within the
Claims Department, culminating in his current leadership position.
Obed is a proud alumnus of the University of Mines and Technology in Tarkwa, holding a
Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics. Furthering his professional qualifications, he
is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana and a student member of
the Institute of Chartered Economists - Ghana.

Obed’s journey from the realm of Mathematics to the intricacies of Insurance is a testament to
his dedication and prowess within the industry. His career is marked by a relentless pursuit of
service excellence, fueled by his unwavering passion.

Nyarko-Mansa Ohene Boateng 

Nyarko-Mansa Ohene Boateng is the Head of Underwriting at GLICO Healthcare. She joined GLICO Healthcare as an intern with the Underwriting and Claims Department prior to beginning her National Service also with GLICO Healthcare. Owing to her diligence and commitment she was maintained as permanent staff after her National Service. From a little beginning as an intern, Nyarko-Mansa has gradually risen to a leading role at GLICO Healthcare. Aside from her role as an Underwriter, she has served in multiple roles such as building customer satisfaction and loyalty by addressing customer concerns and complaints and being the Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer.

She has over the years been involved in the successful management of corporate clients nationwide. She continues to be an integral part of every success being chalked by GLICO Healthcare, making impacts beyond her Department. 

She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Finance from Wisconsin International University College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. 

She has also undertaken courses in Insurance Claims Management, Actuarial Premium Pricing, and Enterprise Risk Management. 

She holds a certificate in ISO 9001: Certified – Coral Draw 2018 from IPMC IT Education Ghana and currently Mastering Data Analysis in Excel from IPMC IT Education, Ghana

 Joycelyn Nelson 

Joycelyn Nelson is the Head of Client Relations at GLICO Healthcare. She began her professional career as an intern with Metropolitan Insurance, now Hollard Insurance Ghana, and subsequently joined GLICO Life Insurance Company beginning her National Service. Due to her outstanding performance owed to her assiduousness and commitment, she was employed as a permanent Marketing staff with GLICO Healthcare, then Gemini Health Insurance.

Joycelyn Nelson has gradually risen over the years through all aspects of the Marketing department (i.e Sales, Business Development, and Client Relations) to a leading role at GLICO Healthcare. Aside from her role in Client Relations, she has served in multiple roles such as supporting Brand Management on the company’s social media platforms, coordinating the Experience Center, and contributing to achieving the organization's financial targets by bringing in new businesses.

She has throughout the ages played a key role in the successful management of corporate bodies, families and individual clients nationwide. She continues to be an integral part of every success being marked by GLICO Healthcare, leaving impressions beyond her department and clients at large.

She holds a degree in BSc. Administration in Insurance from the University of Ghana Business School and a Professional Diploma in Insurance from Ghana Insurance College.

She has also undertaken courses in Negotiation and Leadership Skills, Customer Servicing and Relationship Building, Sales, Digital Marketing, and Marketing Management

Stephen Boamah

Stephen Boamah is the Finance Manager for GLICO Healthcare. Prior to assuming this role he had played significant roles within the Finance Department of the company for over 10 years.

Before joining GLICO Healthcare, Stephen Boamah served as a Claims Officer with GLICO Life Insurance Company for 13 years. 

Stephen holds a master’s degree in Finance from Methodist University, Ghana and is currently pursuing Master of Arts in Ministry (MAM) at Trinity Theological Seminary.

Nathaniel Kwame Coffie 

Nathaniel is Head of Sales at Glico Healthcare. Prior to joining Glico Healthcare, Nathaniel started his career at vanguard life assurance as a sales executive in 2008, where he rose through the ranks to Sales Manager Corporate at Vanguard Life Assurance,  

He later Joined United Pensions Trustees as the Branch Manager (Business Development) in 2012, then in 2015 moved to Old Mutual Life Assurance as the Client Relations Manager and to Oak Insurance Brokers where he served as Managing Director for three years. He comes on board with over 13 years of experience in the Insurance and Pensions industry sales.  

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK. Holds an OTHM Level 7 extended Diploma in Strategic Marketing, a Professional Certificate in Marketing from the Charted Institute of Marketing UK, A Single subject Dip. in Marketing from the Institute of Commercial Management UK, and has participated in several professional training programs in Ghana and UK. Currently Pursuing his MSc with the University of Chichester UK.

Ernest Agyei-Okoampa 

Ernest is one of the Internal Control and Compliance Managers for GLICO Group, assigned to Healthcare, and doubles as the Data Protection Supervisor for GLICO Healthcare. 

Ernest possesses strong finance, data analytics, and research skills which he applies to support all aspects of the Business. Hence, he is a member of the Company’s Budget Team and the ISO Implementation Team. He also delivers on tax-related assignments including tax consulting (compliance, planning, and advisory), tax health checks, and tax due diligence for GLICO Healthcare.

Prior to joining the GLICO Team in 2015, he worked with the Ghana Corporative Credit Union Association Limited as an Auditor where he specialized in the delivery of professional audit and financial management support to credit unions across the country.

Ernest is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He is a Chartered Tax Practitioner and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana. He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (Ghana & Global). In addition to his professional qualifications, Ernest is a Certified Data Protection Supervisor, and very committed to data protection and privacy issues within the Company.

He holds a BSc. Accounting degree from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, and a certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Presbyterian University College.

Dr. Laud Kasheef Ofoli Kassim

Dr. Laud K. O. Kassim is a Medical Officer with over 10 years of experience in clinical medicine and public health. He currently works with the Medical Services Team of GLICO Healthcare and works on claim adjudication, e-medicine consultations, and chronic condition management services.

Laud had previously served as the Deputy Medical Director of Superior Medical Centre, a private not-for-profit hospital in Accra since 2017 and had been instrumental in the growth of the Centre into a public-serving and client-friendly hospital. Dr. Kassim’s interests are in healthcare management, public health, and global disease epidemiology. 

Laud enjoys clinical consultations with clients as well and believes in universal healthcare for all by advocating for everyone to have access to good health insurance to avoid out-of-pocket payments during ill health which can lead to catastrophic expenditures.  Previously, he had worked at 37 Military Hospital in Accra, Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua as well as part-time consulted at the Ghana Post Clinic, Accra.

Laud is a Baptist but currently serving as a Deacon at Christian Outreach Complex, a non-denominational church located at Ampomah Estates, Adenta. He also serves as the Medical Team Leader for the church’s Outreach wing.

Laud holds a BSc from the University of Ghana, an MBChB degree from the University of Ghana Medical School and an MPH from the University of Chester in the Northwest of England, UK.

George Gedzie

George Gedzie is the Head of Provider Relations for GLICO Healthcare. 

George leads the team responsible for managing service providers across the country - to ensure swift and flawless medical care and excellent service delivery to our valued customers.  George has had over eight years of experience in managing service providers for GLICO Healthcare. Prior to joining GLICO Healthcare, he had some experience with GLICO Life Insurance Company Ltd and Ghana Commercial Bank. 

George holds a Master’s degree in International Trade from Hochschule Anhalt - Germany and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Valley View University, Oyibi-Accra.

George is very enthusiastic, customer-oriented, and serviceable.

Dr. Eugene Kofi Amable

Dr. Eugene Kofi Amable is a Consultant Physician/Cardiologist and a part-time lecturer at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Ghana. 

He has held and still holds key positions in various institutions and organizations. He was Head of the Cardiovascular Unit at the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Chief Examiner (Internal Medicine) for the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS), and also Cardiology Faculty Chairman, GCPS. He also served as a member of the Malaria Case Management Technical Working Group of the Malaria Control Unit, MOH. Presently he is an examiner for the Faculty of Internal Medicine, WACP. 

He has contributed to various publications and guidelines on Cardiovascular and Malaria care in Ghana, and as a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians, the Ghana College of Physicians, and the Liberian College of Physicians, he contributes significantly to the advancement of post-graduate medical training and healthcare in Ghana and West Africa.

Dr. Amable brings his vast experience and knowledge to bear on the operations of the Company.

 Charles Otuo

Charles Otuo is the Chief Financial Officer of GLICO Healthcare. His responsibilities include all facets of finance, accounting, regulatory reporting, tax, and risk management of the Company.

Before joining GLICO Healthcare, Charles served as the Group Management Accountant of LMI holdings where he equally doubled as the Finance lead for the Group.

His other prior roles include Chief Finance Officer (West Africa) for Transnational Academic Group, Finance, and Admin. Manager for Pacific International Lines (Gh) Limited and Working Capital Manager for Meridian Ports Services.

He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and holds a BSc in Administration (Accounting option) and an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School.
